Indiana Peony Festival blooms in Noblesville
Noblesville, Indiana – The Indiana Peony Festival, which takes place on Saturday, had a preview event on Friday night with the theme “Peonies in the Park.”
Seminary Park on South 10th Street in Noblesville was the location of the event.
The event on Friday night included flower installations, live music, and meals and beverages with a peony theme, just like the Peony Festival on Saturday.
According to festival organizers, donations and participation support help spread the peony’s impact of beautifying across Noblesville and beyond. Additionally, they claim that it supports education for the cherished state flower.
Kelly McVey, executive director of the Indiana Peony Festival, said “You can check out all the peonies blooming in the park. We also have wonderful food and drinks from different vendors, and it’s just a great celebration of the peony and our state flower.”
In 1957, the peony was designated as the state flower. On Saturday, the celebration will take place in Seminary Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
