A gunshot northwest of Fort Wayne’s downtown has left one person dead

Indianapolis, Indiana – An investigation is being conducted by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department into a situation in which a person passed away on the east side of the city on Sunday with injuries that are consistent with trauma.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) reports that officers responded to a death investigation in the 3300 block of North Shadeland Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they discovered a female victim who had sustained injuries as a result of trauma.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the person was subsequently pronounced dead.

Not only has the precise reason for the trauma not been disclosed, but there has also been no mention of any possible suspects in this investigation.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department feels that this is a one-off occurrence.
