A house fire has displaced five people and a puppy
Indianapolis, Indiana – Following a significant fire on Sunday night on Indianapolis’ southeast side, a family of five people and their puppy were forced to evacuate.
On a complaint of a fire, the Indianapolis Fire Department was sent to the 6300 block of Selago Dr. at around 9:41 p.m.
Officers discovered that a large fire had originated in the garage and had spread to the attic upon their arrival at the site. Firefighters were informed by the family that they smelled smoke and heard a loud boom.
The house and four cars sustained considerable damage from the fire.
After several 911 calls and functional smoke alarms, the fire was brought under control in less than 25 minutes.
There have been no reported injuries. Investigations into this fire are still ongoing.
