Folie à Deux will be shown on 70mm film in nine cinemas, including the Downtown Indy IMAX

Indianapolis, Indiana – One highly awaited comic book movie is coming to the Indy IMAX downtown, one of just a few theaters nationwide to screen it in this unique format.
Nine theaters around the nation are showing “Joker: Folie à Deux” on 70mm film, including the IMAX cinema at the Indiana State Museum.
On September 30, the musical, which is a follow-up to the 2019 film “Joker,” had its IMAX debut. It made its global premiere in non-IMAX theaters on Friday.
Neale Johantgen, manager of an IMAX theater, describes the format as a unique experience.
Johantgen stated in a release that “you just have to see this romantic misadventure, set to music and taking place in one of the most iconic film cities ever, on the big screen.” “It is epic in our full aspect ratio and beautifully produced!”
Moviegoers will receive a gift with their admission from the venue. A commemorative IMAX 70mm film strip from “Joker: Folie à Deux” will be given to moviegoers who attend the film on October 12 and October 19. A poster was given to attendees of the September 30 premiere.
Visit the Downtown Indy IMAX website to purchase tickets.
