Building Trades Park Master Plan development begins with public meeting on September 28

The Building Trades Park Master Plan will be officially launched on September 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 401 N. Morton St. in Bloomington. The public is invited to this event, which is being hosted by the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department.
619 W. Howe St., Building Trades Park, is situated just north of the location of the former IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
The master plan will be overseen by Mader Design, a landscape architectural business located in Beech Grove, Indiana.
In order to help the design team create plans for Building Trades Park’s future, Parks & Recreation is looking for feedback. Subsequent public gatherings will be arranged to examine initial plans and gather more input from the community.
The public is invited to participate in the Master Plan public input meeting in person or remotely using Zoom. To participate virtually, visit the Building Trades Park website after 3 p.m. on September 28 to receive a Zoom link.
Links to an online comment form will be posted on the Building Trades Park website after the public input meeting on September 28. This will allow for the collection of further feedback through October 15, 2023.
Contact Bloomington Parks and Recreation at 812-349-3700 or [email protected] for more information about the Building Trades Park Master Plan public feedback meeting, or visit the Parks Project Update website.
