Chicago woman struck by car as she crossed US 31 in Bartholomew County
Bartholomew County, Indiana – A woman from Chicago was hurt after being struck by a car in Bartholomew County on Friday night.
Deputies arrived at the intersection of N. US 31 and W. Market Place Drive before 10:30 p.m., according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office.
They discovered that Chicago resident Ashley Johnson, 37, was struck by a car as she attempted to cross US 31’s northbound lanes.
Johnson was hurt in the head and the legs. She was brought to Columbus Regional Medical Center.
The accident is still being looked into.
