Early morning house fire results with one woman dead, Indianapolis southeast side
Indianapolis, Indiana – Early morning fire on the far southeast side of Indianapolis results with at least one person dead.
According to reports, fire crews responded to the scene in the 3600 block of Five Points Road, just outside Interstate 465 and north of Hanna Avenue before 8:15 a.m.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, there was huge fire in the apartment. Fire department learned that there was at least one person inside meanwhile.
Unfortunately, due to the blaze they couldn’t enter the home and perform rapid search.
After 20 minutes, crews entered the house and they found the dead woman trapped inside the home. One cat was also found dead, while another one was rescued.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries exiting the apartment.
The identity of the woman was not released. The investigation should reveal what was the reason for the fire.
