East side of Indianapolis juvenile badly wounded after being shot many times
Indianapolis, Indiana – Police claim that a young victim was shot many times on Monday night on the city’s east side, and they are currently listed in critical but stable condition at an Indianapolis children’s hospital.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. to a residential neighborhood on the city’s east side in the 700 block of N. Sherman Drive in reference to a person who had been shot.
IMPD reported that when officers arrived in the Grace Tuxedo Park neighborhood, they discovered a teenage victim with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victim, who was described as both a child and a teenager, has not yet been given a specific age by the police.
Although listed in serious condition at Riley’s Hospital for Children, the little child is stable, according to IMPD.
Aggravated assault detectives are on the scene, according to IMPD. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call IMPD, according to the police.
