Indianapolis, Indiana – In central Indiana, Labor Day weekend has already begun. Some government service providers have changed their hours to account for the vacation.

The day will see the closure of the Marion County Public Health Department. On Monday, all MCPHD clinics will also be closed. Additionally, the department will not be able to provide walk-in services for birth and death certificates.

For Monday, IndyGo transit’s operating hours have changed. Throughout Labor Day, its fixed-route and paratransit buses will operate according to their regular Sunday schedules. On Monday, the IndyGo Customer Care Center and the Julia M. Carson Transit Center’s Care Center Desk will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. to noon, respectively.

On Monday, all branches of the Indianapolis Public Library will be closed. The InfoZone, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is the only place that will not follow the new Labor Day schedule.

Officials from the Indianapolis Public Library also want to remind their customers that they can renew their materials online or by calling (317) 269-5222. Any of the drop boxes at the Indianapolis Public Library can be used to return materials.
