For the holiday season, Amazon plans to hire 5,000 people

Indianapolis, Indiana – It was revealed by Amazon that they are looking to hire 5,000 people in Indiana, with 3,500 of those jobs being in Indianapolis.
According to Amazon, certain sites will pay up to $28 per hour. In addition, new full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees may be eligible for signing bonuses of up to $3,000.
“The holiday season is always a special time at Amazon, and we’re excited to hire 250,000 additional people this year to help serve customers across the country,” Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations said in a statement. Whether someone is looking for a short-term way to make extra money or is hoping to take their first step toward a fulfilling and rewarding career at Amazon, there’s a role available for them.”
“A fulfillment or transportation employee who starts with us today will see a 13% increase in pay over the next three years—likely more, including our annual wage investments.”
Felton said that from the first day of work, there will be health care coverage and prepaid college tuition through Career Choice.
There will also be a chance for seasonal workers to advance to full-time roles.
On the Amazon website, interested parties can view hiring locations and available vacancies.
