Fresh batch of recruits welcomed at IMS’s Armed Forces weekend
Speedway, Indiana – At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it was an honors weekend.
The goal of Armed Forces Weekend is to honor both the current generation and the outstanding members of our armed forces.
On Sunday, more than 100 young men and women took the oath of enlistment to defend our wonderful nation.
Each of them will play a special and significant role in safeguarding the United States of America. This includes active duty in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
One of the new recruits claims that committing his entire life to service means a great deal to him.
“It makes me feel like I’m part of something bigger than myself, and that’s always something that I’ve wanted to do is to be a part of something that can stretch beyond my wildest imagination,” CJ Meyer, one of the new enlistees, said.
Many thanks to everyone who took the oath of enlistment this weekend!
