Friday Night Live is coming to Holiday World! roller coasters at night and live music
Santa Claus, Indiana – Holiday World is starting a fun new event this month. On National Roller Coaster Day, there will be live music and thrilling night rides.
In honor of National Roller Coaster Day on August 16, the park will have live music, special drinks, and night rides on Holiday World’s roller coasters and other big rides. As part of the celebration, the mid-course “trims” will be turned off on The Voyage, making the ride faster in the dark, according to a press statement.
With a length of 1.2 miles, The Voyage is one of the two longest wooden roller coasters in the world.
“If you haven’t been to The Voyage at night, words can’t describe it,” said Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Director of Communications and Fourth-Generation Owner. “We hope that some roller coaster fans from the area will join us in style to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day.”
Happy New Day is an Evansville cover band that will have nights with themes from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s close to Plymouth on the Rocks. At the same time, Backwoods Bluegrass will play at the Fourth of July section’s Hoosier Celebration Theatre.
Nicole Crosby, Fourth-Generation Owner and Director of Entertainment and Events says, “Friday Night Live! is the best way to start the weekend.” “This event is perfect for a fun date night or a night out with friends at Holiday World! There will be live music, amazing night rides, and drink specials!”
The park says that people with any kind of Season Pass or Any Day Ticket can go to the event. You can buy $25 tickets for the show online, or $30 tickets at the door.
During Friday Night Live!, Splashin’ Safari will not be open, and there will not be as many kid-friendly activities.
Friday Night Live! will air from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on August 16, 23, and 30.
