Girl, 5, and a woman discovered dead in a Lafayette residence

Lafayette, Indiana – After a lady and a little kid were discovered dead in a Lafayette house, police launched an investigation.
On Thursday, shortly after 2 p.m., authorities were summoned to the house, according to the Lafayette Police Department. Police said they discovered a 5-year-old kid and a 43-year-old woman dead inside a house in the 100 block of Kinkaid Drive.
Police stated that “the incident that led to their deaths was believed to be contained in the residence,” but they gave no further details.
However, police did make it clear that there was no threat to the neighborhood.
Once notifications have been made, the Tippecanoe County Corner’s Office will divulge the deceased person’s name.
According to police, further information concerning the death investigation will be made public in the future.
