Greg Garrison, Hamilton Co. Prosecutor, is recovering after a heart attack

Indianapolis, Indiana – Greg Garrison, the prosecutor for Hamilton County, is recuperating from a recent heart attack.
Garrison, 75, suffered a heart attack last week at Indianapolis’ Community Hospital North, but he is expected to recover.
Following his victory over an incumbent Republican in the May primary, Garrison, a Republican, defeated Democrat Jessica Paxson in the November election.
Garrison emphasized his extensive expertise in both public and private practice as well as his work instructing lawyers during his campaign. His 1992 role as the special prosecutor in the rape trial of boxer Mike Tyson garnered him global prominence. He had previously worked as the deputy district attorney for Marion County.
For almost 20 years, Garrison hosted “The Garrison Show” on WIBC and Network Indiana. He debuted on January 2000 to take Mike Pence’s spot and aired his farewell program on June 9, 2017.
