Hotel shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis leaves one man dead and two injured
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to police, a hotel shooting early on Wednesday morning on Indianapolis’ northwest side claimed the life of one man and seriously injured two others.
Just after 10:30 a.m., officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a complaint of gunfire near the 8500 block of Northwest Boulevard. That’s at the Extended Stay America hotel, which is close to I-465 and right off 86th Street.
Inside the hotel, officers found two males and a woman with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. A male was declared dead at the scene, according to the police.
The two further gunshot victims were sent to nearby hospitals in a critical but stable state.
According to IMPD, investigators think there was a disturbance before to the shooting, and they are not searching for any more suspects.
After notifying the deceased’s relatives, the Marion County Coroner’s Office will disclose the deceased’s name.
