How to register to vote in the state of Indiana

Indianapolis, Indiana – Are you a voter? It’s less than a month away from now to get your name added to the voter rolls in preparation for the November election.
Monday, Oct. 7 is the last day to register to vote in the election scheduled for Nov. 5.
This is all the information you require to register to vote in the state of Indiana and to verify your voter registration.
In order to cast a ballot, you need to:
• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day.
• Have a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state ID card.
• Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the election.
• Not be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
You can apply in person at any BMV license branch, visit the county clerk’s office, or register to vote online at indianavoters.in.gov.
Verifying your voter registration status is a good idea if you are already registered to vote.
Visit indianavoters.in.gov, locate the “Check Voting Status” box, and select the “Check Your Registration Record” button to confirm that you are registered to vote.
After selecting the county of your existing registration from a drop-down menu, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, birth date, and other details.
