In just two weeks, the Indiana dashboard has added 4,148 new coronavirus cases and 73 COVID deaths

Indianapolis, Indiana – New COVID-19 data has been made available on the state’s coronavirus dashboard by the Indiana Department of Health.

The information was gathered up until Tuesday, March 27. Every Wednesday, the state dashboard is updated.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana increased from 26,367 on March 12 to 26,440 on Tuesday. That is a 73-percent rise.

Indiana has documented 462 deaths since Jan. 2, when the state reported 25,978 deaths.
By contrast, as of March 22, Indiana had recorded 150 flu-related deaths for the 2023–2024 season.

Probable COVID-19 fatalities rose from 1,538 on March 12 to 1,548 on Tuesday. That is a tenfold rise.

In Indiana, the overall number of COVID-19 positive cases increased from 2,202,632 on March 12 to 2,206,780 on Tuesday. That is a 4,148 rise.

On Tuesday, the state reported an average of 200 ER visits and 37 hospital admissions over the previous seven days. 24 hospital admissions and 296 ER visits were recorded on March 12.

As of Tuesday, 3,867,114 Hoosiers had finished the first round of vaccinations, according to IDOH. That amounts to roughly 54.8% of the entire populace.

As of Tuesday, 993,965 Hoosiers had received all recommended vaccines, according to the state website.
