When it comes to hiring, WalletHub lists Indiana as the sixth least hiring state, ranking it 47th.
Based on the percentage of job openings in the most recent month and the previous 12 months, WalletHub compared the job opening rates of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Indiana’s rate was 5% for the most recent month and 5.48% for the previous 12 months.
Illinois came in at number 22 and Kentucky at number 24 in the Tri-State.
