Indiana State Fair announces the 2023 Taste of the Fair winners

Indianapolis, Indiana – The most popular food item at the Indiana State Fair in 2023 has been chosen by Hoosiers.
The “Taste of the Fair” competition this year featured a wide variety of delectable competitors, from Wilson Concessions’ Flaming Hot Cheeto Corn in a Cup to Urick Concessions’ Gimme S’more Bourbon Shake, and everything in between.
Voting for the best dish was requested of fairgoers in Indiana. On Friday, state fair authorities announced the top three winners after tallying the ballots.
So who are the winners?
Street Corn Pizza (Swain’s Pizza on a Stick) won first place.
Indiana is home to more than just corn; it also has Sweet Corn Pizza!
Fresh dough, homemade white sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, fire-roasted corn, chile lime flavor, and cilantro are all added to this meal before it is baked to perfection.
Buffalo Pork-n-Mac (Nitro Hog) came in second.
Better than macaroni and cheese, you ask? a serving of homemade mac and cheese with ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and pulled pork on top.
The Pepperoni Pizza Pretzel from Wilson Concessions came in third.
Pizza with a twist, quite literally, comes in third! It is a large pretzel topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, pizza sauce, and pepperoni.
It’s still the Indiana State Fair on Sunday, August 21. The schedule is available here.
One-day parking passes cost $8 apiece, while general admission tickets cost $11.
