Indianapolis International named best airport for 11th year in a row
Indianapolis, Indiana – For the eleventh year in a straight, the Airports Council International has designated Indianapolis International Airport the Best Airport in North America, placing it at the top of the continent’s quality airports.
The ranking takes into account more than 30 key performance characteristics, including check-in, facility cleanliness, ease of navigation, and shopping and food options. It is based on survey responses from passengers.
“The Indy airport is more than just a place where aircraft take off and land – it’s very much like a city within a city,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) Executive Director Mario Rodriguez.
The winning streak has been credited to the staff by airport officials. Now hiring for positions in the airport’s operations and public safety, terminal services, maintenance, and professional staffing divisions.
Employees enjoy perks including paid child care reimbursement of up to $10,000 annually, paid tuition help of up to $5,250, and a “generous medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefit package,” according to IAA.
