ISP looking into Wabash County highway worker’s death
Wabash County, Indiana – A highway worker died, and the Indiana State Police are looking into it.
At the request of the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office, the ISP Criminal Investigations Division is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of 51-year-old highway worker Aaron Burton.
According to ISP, preliminary data suggests that Burtin was discovered within construction equipment on October 23 around 1:30 p.m. The Wabash County Coroner declared Burton dead at the scene despite efforts to save his life.
So far, ISP added, there are no indications of foul play. ISP further stated that while detectives try to ascertain the cause of death, an autopsy report is still awaited.
The investigation is still ongoing.
