Bloomington, Indiana – At 482 S. Liberty Drive, Bloomington, IU Health opened a second Urgent Care office on Tuesday for walk-in customers.

The westside office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Holidays will also see it open.

“Bloomington is a hub for healthcare in south-central Indiana, and we’re always looking at how to best serve the needs of our local communities,” Mike Teague, IU Health South Central Region primary care service line medical executive, said in a news release. “It’s a chance to better serve folks who have minor medical problems that can’t wait for a primary care visit by adding a second urgent care facility on Bloomington’s westside.”

The office provides emergency, non-life-threatening care, according to its website. Minimal injuries, mild illnesses, and wellness or preventive tests are a few examples.

There are occupational health services that include testing, screenings, vaccines, checkups, and treatment for injuries sustained by employees.

Veteran services are also provided by the office. A community provider for the US Department of Veteran Affairs is IU Health.

Patients can use the website to book an appointment or secure a seat in the walk-in line by calling (812) 353-3443.
