‘Kids day’ in Monument Circle is themed around the Indy 500
Indianapolis, Indiana – ‘Kids Day’ has swept over Monument Circle, causing a flurry of enthusiasm. The largest kid-friendly outdoor event of the 500 Festival, this free event with an Indy 500 theme will feature a variety of activities and exhibits for children to enjoy.
There is something for everyone to participate in, from rock walls and bounce castles to music and handmade crafts. The Rookie Run, however, is the day’s high point. Children between the ages of 3 and 10 can take to the streets and display their racing prowess in this non-competitive event.
The Rookie Run is a fantastic method to get kids moving, according to Hellen Khamis, the 500 Festival Marketing Manager, who told News 8 that it has a cheer squad and rewards to encourage and motivate the participants.
Although pre-registration is preferred to guarantee your child’s participation before the event, parents and guardians can register their young charges on-site for a small $5 cost.
So whether you’re a devoted fan of the Indy 500 or just looking for a family-friendly day out, 500 Festival Kids Day has you covered. It will take place on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
