Officers of the Conservation Department retrieve body from the Tippecanoe River

Monticello, Indiana – The body of a person was pulled out of the Tippecanoe River in Indiana on Friday evening, and investigators from the Indiana Department of Conservation are conducting an investigation into the incident.

A fisherman called White County dispatch just before 5:00 p.m. on Friday to report finding a body in the river near East Ohio Street in Monticello. The location of the body was described as being in the vicinity of the city.

The deceased person’s body was pulled from the river by emergency personnel and the coroner for White County. The deceased person was identified as Tyler Dilley, who was 37 years old and from Monticello.

The White County Coroner’s Office will, once they have received the results of the autopsy, determine what caused the death.

Anyone who may have information regarding Dilley’s whereabouts at the time of his disappearance is asked to call the Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch at the number 812-837-9536.
