Long’s Bakery celebrates anniversary with 69¢ donut sale

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Saturday, Long’s Bakery, a renowned restaurant, will celebrate its 69th anniversary with a sale on its famous glazed donut.

The donuts, which usually retail for 92¢, will be available for only 69¢ in honor of their prolonged popularity in Central Indiana.

Both their Southport location at 2301 East Southport Road and their Indianapolis branch at 1453 North Tremont Street will host the feast of the yeast.

Carl and Mildred Long founded Long’s Bakery on Saturday, January 29, 1955, in Indianapolis. Now in its fourth generation of ownership, the family-run bakery has every owner also being a baker. Spouses, relatives, and siblings abound in the donut factory.

It takes three hours from start to finish to prepare a yeast donut, so everyone is pitching in. Long’s takes pleasure in the everyday work and attention displayed by its over ninety staff.

The staff at Long’s Bakery is one of our greatest assets, according to co-owner Crystal Smith. “We strive to create a homelike atmosphere at work because we adore and value them so much.”

Hoosiers adore the Bakery so much that local musician Tevin Studdard wrote a song about it. Studdard stated, “Take a bite, change your life.” Listen to the popular song that has received over 900,000 streams on social media platforms to get yourself in the mood for the sale.

The cash-only restaurant has a limit of ten patrons per customer.
