Man from Danville dies in shed fire

Danville, Indiana – The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office reports that an 86-year-old man perished in a shed fire near Danville’s eastern border on Friday afternoon.
Soon after 1:50 on Friday, deputies and detectives were called to help the Danville Fire Department in the 3300 block of East Main Street, also known as U.S. 36.
Donald Dodson, of Danville, was discovered dead inside a small barn-like structure after the fire was put out, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office on Friday night.
Nobody suspected wrongdoing. The county coroner’s office and the Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office are both conducting investigations because the cause of the fire was not immediately discovered.
