Man from Southern Indiana died in a single-vehicle accident in Scott County
Scottsburg, Indiana – According to state police, a guy from southern Indiana lost his life in a single-vehicle collision in Scott County on Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday, just after 3:30 p.m., Indiana State Police troopers received a report of a potential collision on South Boatman Road in Scottsburg, Indiana, which is located just south of West Lake Road. An Apple Watch’s automated alarm alerted authorities to the probable disaster.
On Boatman Road, investigators think a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling south. The car left the east side of the road, crossed the northbound lane, and struck a tree for an unidentified reason. James C. Lasher, 48, of Underwood, Indiana, was driving the Chevrolet Cruze when he became unresponsive and was taken to Scott County Memorial Hospital.
Not long after getting to the hospital, Lasher was declared dead.
No more individuals or cars were involved in the crash, according to the investigators. Investigators think the collision might have started as a result of a medical issue. The news of Lasher’s passing has reached his family.
