Man shot close to a Subway restaurant in Bloomington

Bloomington, Indiana – After being shot and receiving critical injuries near a Subway on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, a man is now recovering.
Around 1:25 PM on Saturday, the Bloomington Police Department responded to a complaint of a man being shot next to the dumpsters of a Subway restaurant. Officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the chest when they arrived at 1839 N. Kinser Pike.
The man was taken in an ambulance to a neighboring hospital. He was described as being critically ill yet stable by officials.
A suspect was identified, and investigators found him close to West Northlane Drive. No incident occurred during his arrest, and there is no immediate danger to the public’s safety.
