Marion house fire claims one life
Marion, Indiana – One person is dead after a fatal house fire with entrapment in Marion’s 1600 block of North King Road.
Melissa L. Dasch, 71, has been named as the victim and property owner.
One adult and two kids were there in the house at the time, and they described smelling smoke and discovering the bedroom where the fire was. The adult who arrived on the scene said the smoke and fire were too severe to enter.
The State Fire Marshall is conducting an investigation to identify the fire’s origin.
