May will participate on the summer study committee and co-chair a task force for local governance

Indiana – Recent appointments for the roles of co-chair of the Local Government Public Notice Task Force and member of the Interim Study Committee on Government have been made to State Rep. Chris May (R-Bedford).
State legislators serve on interim committees over the summer and fall to analyze policy concerns, solicit public opinion, and consider potential legislation in order to get ready for the upcoming legislative session, which begins in January.
“Indiana’s continued success requires a strong partnership between local governments and the state,” said May, who also serves as the chair of the House Local Government Committee. “I’ll keep looking for ways to strengthen ties between officials to help improve government services at all levels.”
Hearings of the Committee shall be held at the Statehouse in Indianapolis and shall be open to the public for attendance and testimony. On iga.in.gov, where committee schedules and agendas are provided, hearings are also livestreamed and preserved.
