Meet the newest Indiana State Fair Queen, Alexxys Standish
Indianapolis, Indiana – Alexxys Standish has been crowned Miss Indiana State Fair 2024.
Out of more than eighty candidates, Standish became the first representative from Newton County.
Standish visited “Daybreak” on Friday to talk about her new title, her expectations for the role, and her favorite Indiana State Fair cuisine.
“The transition coming back from school has been a little difficult, but I’m very excited for the year to come,” Standish said.
At Indiana University, Alexxys is a member of the honor society. She intends to attend Indiana University to get a doctorate in occupational therapy with a focus on pediatrics.
Her responsibilities include spreading the word about the Indiana State Fair. Between June and July, she will travel 6,500 kilometers through 45 counties.
“I’m just excited to travel the state of Indiana. It’s my home state and there are so many places I haven’t been and I’m so excited to meet all of the new people,” Standish said.
