New exhibit dedicated to Chuck Taylor and his iconic shoe line now open
Indianapolis, Indiana – At the Indiana History Society, a fresh exhibit honoring Chuck Taylor and his legendary Converse All-Star Shoes has just gone on display.
“This experience lets you surround yourself in history,” said Daniel Gonzales, IHS director of exhibitions curation. “You can engage with historical figures, touch artifacts and stand in historic spaces. All things that are impossible to do in real life.”
Taylor was raised in the town of Azalia and was born close to Nashville, Indiana. The Columbus, Indiana, high school he attended was.
People can view Taylor Swift and the legendary brand in never-before-seen shoes, outfits, and photographs, according to Jody Blankenship, president and CEO of IHS.
“We have a virtual reality experience that allows visitors to travel back to 1952, meet Chuck Taylor, and participate in one of his famous basketball clinics,” said Blankenship.
Till January 27, 2025, the Chuck Taylor All-Star exhibition will be on display.
