New police headquarters will be constructed in Noblesville
Noblesville, Indiana – A brand new headquarters is going to be constructed for the Noblesville Police Department.
It has been announced by the city that the new police department would be constructed on the site of the Firestone Tire Factory, which was located on Division Street and shut down fifteen years ago.
At the moment, the Noblesville Police Department, the fire administration, and Station 71 are all housed in the same building. Since the year 1992, they have been holding their operations at the same building.
Officials from the city have stated that the new police headquarters will assist them in providing services to a community that has experienced a population growth of nearly 55,000 years. The population of Noblesville has surpassed 75,000, and the police force has more than one hundred officers that are committed to their jobs.
The development of a new police headquarters is a major priority in Noblesville’s 10-year Capital Improvement Plan, according to Mayor Chris Jensen, who stated this in his most recent State of the City address. The Fraternal Order of Police has also expressed their support for this endeavor.
It is anticipated that construction will start in the second half of the year 2025.
