New study ranks Turkey Run in top US state parks

Parke County, Indiana – Three Indiana parks, including Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, are listed as the “best state parks to visit this summer and fall” by the State Park Index.
The company HomeToGo, which offers holiday rentals, has put together the 2024 HomeToGo State Park Index. According to their website, the list ranks the 50 most well-liked, scenic, and luxurious state parks in the nation using a variety of search and demand data as well as details regarding trails, wildlife, photogenic appeal, and park size.

The list includes 50 parks from various landscapes spread throughout 19 states. Here in the Hoosier State are three of those parks: Potato Creek State Park, ranked number 34, Turkey Run State Park, ranked number 18, and Indiana Dunes State Park, ranked sixth.
Turkey Run is the second state park in Indiana and is situated in Marshall, IN. The park provides opportunities to explore deep sandstone ravines, stroll among stands of old trees, and take in the picturesque views along Sugar Creek, according to the Indiana DNR website.
