Officers in Westfield looking into a shooting at the Pacers Athletic Center
Westfield, Indiana – According to a social media post, Westfield Police Department officers are looking into a complaint of gunfire at the Pacers Athletic Center.
Officers from the Westfield Police Department responded to a report of gunfire at the Pacers Athletic Center, 200 E. 186th St., at 6:29 p.m. on Sunday. The center’s website states that since its January 2016 opening, “This state-of-the-art indoor athletic facility opened in January 2016, and has quickly become a Midwest hotspot for youth sports training, leagues, and tournaments.”
There have been no reported injuries, and authorities don’t think the neighborhood is in immediate danger.
Officials stated they will provide additional details as they become available, but police are still conducting their investigation at the scene.
