On 22nd Street, Indy Public Works is constructing a two-way bike lane

Indianapolis, Indiana – On 22nd Street, the Indianapolis Department of Public Works is constructing a two-way bike lane.
The Indianapolis Department of Public Works and the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development are working together on the project.
This project, which is phase 2 of the 16th and Monon connectivity plan, would build a protected two-way cycle track on 22nd Street between Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue and Capitol Avenue, according to a description from the Department’s website. Along Cornell Avenue and Bellefonte Street, this project’s features include street resurfacing, sidewalk repairs, and ADA ramp repairs.
This project is expected to cost $1.6 million to build, and work is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2023 and end in the fall of 2023.
