One person killed in an Indianapolis north side collision

Indianapolis, Indiana – A deadly collision that happened on the city’s north side early on Sunday morning is being looked into by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Kessler Boulevard East Drive at 9:52 a.m., according to IMPD, in response to a crash complaint. When they got there, they discovered that the collision was deadly.

Following an inquiry, authorities discovered that a gray car was engaged in a collision with a white car that was heading west while it was in the vicinity. The IMPD identified the driver and only occupant of the gray car as an adult female. She was pronounced deceased at the site.

The driver of the white car was brought to Eskenazi Hospital for a blood collection in accordance with IMPD’s regular procedure. The white car’s driver did not show any indications of intoxication at the scene, according to the police.

The occupants of the white automobile were sent to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for minor wounds they had incurred. According to IMPD, both of the cars in the collision were towed.

With the crash investigation, law enforcement is receiving assistance from the Marion County Coroner’s Office. Once the decedent’s family has been duly informed of her passing, MCCO will divulge her name.
