Pedestrian struck on I-65 close to Indianapolis downtown

Indianapolis, Indiana – An individual was struck while walking along Interstate 65 close to downtown Indianapolis early on Thursday, and police were looking into the incident.
Dispatchers for the Indiana Department of Transportation confirmed that the person was struck just before three in the morning in the southbound lanes of I-65 close to Fletcher Avenue.
It’s unclear who the individual was or why they were strolling alongside the highway.
The injured person was not a construction worker, according to dispatchers.
Following the collision with the person, several lanes of the highway were stopped. By 5 a.m., all lanes had reopened.
