Elkhart, Indiana – On Tuesday, a police dog got his new body armor.
Diego is employed by the police department in Elkhart.
According to the officers, he is the most recent service dog in Indiana to receive a protective vest thanks to a contribution from Vested Interest in K9s.
According to the agency, Diego’s vest features a unique embroidery in memory of Diesel, a canine that worked for Bartholomew County before dying in the line of duty in 2020.
