Purdue University close to “herd immunity” mark as around 75% of the students and staff are fully vaccinated, latest data shows

If we believe the theory, it looks like that Purdue University is getting closer to the “herd immunity” mark since around 75% of students and staff are already vaccinated.
According to Purdue University officials, more than 85% of the students that are leaving on the campus, teachers and staff have submitted a proof of vaccination.
The overall vaccination rate among all students and staff is 75%. University’s officials added that 40,496 submitted proof of full vaccination just days before classes began Monday.
Taking into consideration the fact that at least 80% of the population should be vaccinated in order one community to reach a hear immunity, it seems that Perdue University students and staff are almost there and might feel confident when it comes to their safety on the campus.
