Reservations for a total solar eclipse will be available at Hoosier National Forest
Bedford, Indiana – Reservations for camping in the Hoosier National Forest will open on Friday in advance of the complete solar eclipse on April 8.
Reservations for campsites are accepted for the event from March 29 to April 10. The chance is offered by the Forest Service through a concessionaire deal with BA Services for campgrounds, according to a press release. The reservation page is scheduled to go live at seven in the morning on Friday.
On April 8, they anticipate that this event will bring in over 500,000 visitors from various states. The majority of southern Indiana’s Hoosier National Forest is expected to be covered by the eclipse.
The Forest Service says “All developed campground campsites will be by reservation only from March 29 through April 10, due to the high number of visitors to southern Indiana to view the eclipse.”
When it’s open, go to the recreation website to make a reservation and see the availability instantly. The Forest Service advises individuals to prepare numerous fallback plans since seats will fill up rapidly.
