Bedford, Indiana – This month, the Bedford and Tell City offices of the Hoosier National Forest will be selling brand-new, protected solar eclipse viewing glasses.

In advance of the April 8 eclipse, the eye shields are being provided. According to a press release, the glasses are being provided in collaboration with the Eastern National Forests Interpretive Association, a nonprofit that funds interpretive initiatives on National Forests and are branded to honor the exceptional occasion.

It is anticipated that up to 500,000 people will travel to southern Indiana to see the phenomena, but to do so safely, safety goggles must be worn. Without the right protection, staring at the eclipse can inflict temporary or permanent eyesight loss.

The spectacles will go on sale on January 16. According to the announcement, organized groups like youth organizations, educational institutions, or schools may place phone orders and arrange for a pick-up time while supplies remain.

The great demand for viewing glasses is predicted to cause them to sell quickly.

For further information, interested people can give 812-275-5987 a call. Purchases may be made at other locations closer to the eclipse.
