Two $50,000 Powerball tickets are about to expire
Indianapolis, Indiana – The $50,000 Powerball tickets that are scheduled to expire this month are announced by the Hoosier Lottery.
On July 17, one ticket was bought in Anderson at the GetGo store at 920 West 38th St. Four of the five white balls on the ticket matched.
The other ticket, which likewise matched four of the five white balls, was bought on August 2 at a Citgo located at 1312 West Chicago Ave. in East Chicago, IN.
The deadlines for turning in the tickets for Anderson and East Chicago are respectively January 16 and January 29. Both must be turned in to the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment office by 4:30 p.m.
The following were the two Powerball winning numbers:
• July 17: 5-8-9-17-41, Powerball of 21
•August 2: 23-24-33-51-64, Powerball of 5
Over $7 billion has been donated to charitable purposes by the Hoosier Lottery, including $30 million yearly to the Teachers’ Retirement Fund and $30 million to the pensions of local police and firefighters.
