Southwest grounded all their planes due to technical issue, Tuesday afternoon operations continued as usual
Southwest Airlines grounded all their planes for some time on Tuesday after experiencing technical issue in their internal network.
However, they were fully operational again in the afternoon. According to the FAA’s tweet, “temporary nationwide ground stop” on behalf of Southwest was issued because of a “reservation computer issue.” The FAA added to call the airline for additional details regarding their reservations.
Many customers slowed down the customer service and the company encouraged customers to visit their website and explore “self-service options.”
Furthermore, the company said in a statement customer can ask their agents in the airports if they can’t get telephone or online help.
“We know many customers still require assistance and are working to address those concerns as quickly as possible,” wrote Southwest in tweet.
Delta and Alaska Airlines also experienced issues on Monday, according to CNN.
