Student arrested after bringing gun to school
Bloomington, Indiana – After bringing a gun to school on Thursday, a pupil from Ellettsville’s Edgewood Junior High School was detained.
A 14-year-old pupil was discovered to be in possession of a gun, according to authorities.
Jerry Sanders, superintendent of Richland-Bean Blossom, wrote to parents in an email that no one is currently under threat at the school.
According to the email, resource officers, administrators, and employees responded right away to the incident and removed the student’s firearms.
The weapon was loaded.380 caliber handgun, according to the police. When they got to school, a different student who had seen the pistol on the bus informed an administrator.
8 miles to the northwest of Bloomington is Edgewood.
