The monkey Momo captured following a chase through an Indianapolis neighborhood
Indianapolis, Indiana – After pursuing the monkey for several hours through the Irongate neighborhood on the east side of the city, Momo was finally brought into custody on Thursday morning.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Momo went missing from the Irongate area. Indianapolis Animal Care Services requested assistance from officers of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in finding her.
According to an IMPD post on X Thursday morning, “Momo the monkey has been captured safely. That was more than enough monkey business for us. Thank you all for your assistance.”
Momo was discovered in an empty residence, according to the police, and his owner went inside to get him.
Momo is under the care of Indianapolis Animal Care and Control.
