The search for a missing person comes to an end after a body is found near a pond
Bargersville, Indiana – Police discovered a body next to a Bargersville pond while looking for a missing Indianapolis resident.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departments were pursuing a lead on the missing person, according to the Bargersville Police Department on Thursday morning. They had a ping of the missing person’s last known position.
Police discovered a body with the mobile phone when they went to check a ping at IN-135 and Clary Blvd S Drive. They then called the Bargersville Police Department to help secure the site.
“This is likely a person that was missing out of Indianapolis,” said Jeremy Roll, public information officer for the Bargersville Police Department.
According to the police, it appears the person had been lying there for some time based on the condition of the body. Police are considering the discovery as a death investigation as of the time of this report.
