Two guys killed in two different crashes in Monroe County

Bloomington, Indiana – According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, two males were murdered in two different car incidents that occurred in Monroe County between Tuesday and Friday.
The guys were recognized as Larry Martindale of Solsberry, Indiana, and Virgil Hupp of Bloomington. We don’t currently know the men’s ages.
On Tuesday, the first accident occurred at some point. On a complaint of an overturned car, deputies were sent to the 3300 block of North Brummetts Creek Road.
Officers discovered that Hupp had driven off the road and struck a tree approximately 25 yards distant while traveling north on Brummetts Creek Road for an unexplained reason. The collision caused Hupp’s car to overturn.
At the scene, he was declared deceased. As per the deputies, he was buckled up when the collision occurred.
The second mishap happened on Friday at some point. On a report of someone hurt by a tractor, officers were dispatched to the 9700 block of West State Road 45, close to the border with Greene County.
As detectives got there, they discovered that Martindale was riding on a tractor that was being operated by a man by the name of Justin Ratliff. Martindale was thrown from the tractor when it struck a sizable ditch at some point.
Martindale lost his balance and the tractor ran him over in the ditch. Later on, his wounds claimed his life.
According to investigators, they are still trying to find out more details about the tractor accident.
