Two People Arrested On Charges Of Dealing Marijuana
(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested Friday after a Bedford Police officer stopped their vehicle for an expired license plate.
While speaking to the driver, 30-year-old Laronte Milton, and the passenger, 27-year-old Amelia Callahan, both of Bloomington, officers were denied consent to search the vehicle.
K-9 Maximus was requested to the scene to do a free-air search of the vehicle. Maximus alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
“Officers also located marijuana packaged in several individual baggies consistent with dealing,” Chief Terry Moore added. “Both were taken into custody on charges of dealing and possession of marijuana.”
