Two people died in a hair salon on Indianapolis’ far east side

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Indianapolis’ far east side, two people were shot early on Sunday and died as a result.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the 10000 block of East Washington Street, close to North Mitthoefer Road, at around 3:15 in the morning.
Officers discovered a man and a woman who had been shot inside the “New Look Hair Salon” when they arrived. Police said both were declared deceased at the scene.
According to the police, there was some sort of gathering going on inside the salon at the time of the shooting.
This double deadly shooting has been classified as a murder/suicide by IMPD. The inquiry into the shooting’s circumstances is still underway, nevertheless.
